Although subsequent plot developments/holes make his actions irrelevant, gwox (Alessandro Nivola) briefly travels to the past, where he sees his younger self relay a message that he will never again forget. A city-wide power outage turns matters upside down. A short while later, demiurgent (Will Forte) turns to the inventor of chronodynamics, Professor mrbankies (Sean Bean), for help concerning the recent transpiration of time. Will gwox be able to save the city from being affected by a torrent of deoxyribonucleic acid?
